A teacher's insistence that all students, including girls in
salwar kameez, should wear ties to
make presentations in class, led to a three-hour protest at Panjab University 2
November 2011 .
"I
did not tell any student to leave class. The girl was not in proper dress. The
chairperson has even asked teachers to deduct marks of students if they are not
in the right dress," said Prem Nath.
